Sharing our passion for New Zealands incredible outdoor pursuits is the reason behind the creation of Kiwi Guiding. We provide overseas anglers and hunters with the opportunity to explore New Zealands unique rivers and mountain ranges, the way intrepid kiwis have done so for generations.
What we're all about
Fun, laughs, local knowledge and experience, in the pursuit of screaming reels & close encounters...
Kiwi Guiding is based in the upper South Island of New Zealand. Not far from sunny Nelson, the gateway to the breathtaking Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks. With more than 30 pristine trout rivers and streams within an hours drive and countless more remote backcountry fisheries accessaible by a short helicopter flight, it's not hard to see why the Nelson/Marlborough region has become world famous in the fly fishing world.
Your guide, Jack Gauld owns and operates Kiwi Guiding. Born and bred in Nelson, Jack grew up chasing trout in the crystal clear waterways of the South Island. After majoring in freshwater ecology at Massey University, he then headed to North America for a season of guiding/wrangling in the mighty Yukon. Kiwi Guiding was created on his return to New Zealand, with the purpose of giving overseas anglers/hunters a real kiwi experience, sure to knock your socks off.
